2000 XJ 4.0L/NP231/AW4 - 110k miles
2" lift, 30x9.5 BFG A/Ts, flowmaster 2.5" exhaust and 63mm TB. Otherwise stock.
Recently my Jeep has a strange issue with shifting. It seems more noticeable after swapping in a bored out throttle body. The issue probably happens about once every time I drive it. The tranny fluid is pink and filled to the correct level.
I will be driving the jeep at around 30 mph, and when going around a corner I will take my foot off the gas pedal. Once applying my foot to the gas pedal again, the RPMs rev up and it almost seems like the tranny slips before it shifts into the next gear. I don't think its slipping, but it almost seems like it goes into too low of a gear then switches to the next one in about a second. It doesn't happen all the time, and always seems to happen in the same spots where I drive. I'm wondering if this is a TPS issue? I adjusted the kickdown cable and that didn't change anything. It seems to run fine otherwise and I have a transmission cooler so I don't think it is heating up. Any advice is appreciated.
