what about cooling? any different than the standard modded XJ cooling ideas? running around the southwest for the past 3 weeks doing 50-70 on dirt roads 5000ft above sea level made overheating come up pretty quickly. and thats was with a CSF 3 row, new waterpump, and new hoses.

An external trans cooler will do wonders for keeping temps down if you're running an auto trans, constantly running through the gears and bouncing between high and low rpms will cook the tranny pretty quick and all that heat goes right into the coolant if you are running an internal trans cooler.

There's a couple of cage threads already that have some good info about material selection. Jeepspeed guys build their cages based on class rules.
