TO DO LIST

1. WJ Brakes and upgraded steering - NOT GONNA HAPPEN
2. WJ Power Steering pump and cooler - COULDN'T GET IT NOT TO LEAK, STUCK WITH THE OEM VERSION
3. TREs - DONE
4. Ball Joints - DONE
5. Tighten up all suspension bolts - DONE
6. Steering gear box - DONE
8. Try again with the WJ power steering pump - JUNKYARD ONLY HAD 4.0 L WJs TODAY (denied)
9. Oil and Filter change - DONE
10. Radiator flush and fill DONE
11. New draglink - DONE
12. Get driveshafts checked for balance and good u-joints - DONE
13. Replace steering stabilizer -DONE
14. Chase that final steering "clunk"
15. Charge A/C - DONE - maybe? Not as cold as I would have expected
16. New transmission mount

Got my new ram mount installed:

So instead of building a jeep I pushed the easy button.

Nice ride, Brian.

I tweaked my exhaust a bit so it's not blowing on the spring bushing. I also reinstalled my steering box brace. I also drove it a bit. Slowly getting there.
 
I'll make my list as things I have done... As there is always something else to do!

Locate Cabin - DONE (thanks B.Taylor)
Locate trailer to borrow - DONE
Mount tires on beadlocks - DONE
Install rear locker - DONE
Order stuff to install - DONE
Fix AC on truck - DONE

Mount tires/beadlocks on jeep - DONE
Install new rear shocks - DONE

Attempt to install new track bar on truck - FAIL

a/c that works
rubi package gets you more...
front d44
lockers
4.10 gears
4 to 1 tcase

oh yeah...full frame

and 5 years newer than the last XJ...

gonna be a mad dash for me...
front axle:
- pretty much ready for final welding and paint DONE
- need to figure out front brake lines. mine dont seem to be long enough. DONE
- drill out pitman arm DONE
- get and install conversion joint for driveshaft DONE
- bleed brakes
rear axle
- modify upper link mounts DONE
- modify caliper mounts DONE
- weld on coilover mounts DONE
- run all new brakes
- run air lines
- get new driveshaft made
- paint DONE
misc
- get new rims and mount tires to them NEED TO INSTALL
- install air compressor/switches NEED TO INSTALL
- pray that everything i did actually works
- change oil in EB and look over trailer
 
SO now I have a list:
swap out steering for ZJ stuff
all new better brakes, hubs and ball joints
maybe tires.....
 
Auto, like I said easy button....I wouldn't mind a manual but I'm ok w auto

Those look like some heavy duty rock sliders you got on there. ;)
