My father had a 59 Mercedes...he used to empty the oil, put in 2 qts. of kerosene and run the engine for about 30 seconds...then drain again.

330,000 miles when he sold it to my cousin, still running today.

Yeah I've heard of the kerosene thing before. But at least you have some kind of oil based substance in there haha.
