I have the stock steering set up, with the exception of the upgraded ZJ tie rod.
I have to do rod ends now, as mine are toast. Of course the rod from the passenger knuckle to the pitman arm has a fixed end at the knuckle and the rod from the driver knuckle has a fixed end at the middle of the other tie rod.
Both of those boots are toast and are part of those respective ends of the tie rods. My question - most part stores sell replacement TRE boots (both of the threaded TREs I'm using have "slip on boots"). Can I just cut off the original ones and slide on the DORMAN replacements and call it good?
