Team MAD build

What color red are you painting with? How's it hold up to the sun for fading?
My jeeps red and I would love to repaint it that but scared of fading...

The red is factory from 95. The only red i painted was the cage (most of it) and the hood as i had to get a new hood as my old one had huge vents and was not allowed. I use cheap rattle can rusteluom red nothing fancy. It just happens to match up pretty good. Once I clean the area I sand, primer, few cots of the color then clear coat to help. The rest of the jeep is Rusteluom hammered grey and black.

as for fading my jeep is in Arizrona where we have sun 364 days a year i just wash it often, usually after each run and then park it back in the garage to help control fading.

Some photos of us abusing the Deaver and Bilstien parts.

You rig is looking great! Any pics of the install of the Ballistic box? After the hold down mount breaking on the factory and a new factory battery tray I ordered my Ballistic box today. My assumption is I'll be able to utilize the fatory studs by lining up one of the pre drilled holes in the box and drilling the other 2.

Your the second person to ask me. Once i get back from texas and get the jeep back ill take a better picture and share with you all.

Jeep is pretty much done..Just need to adjust the 5pts, install rear shocks and figure out how to work the GPS but other then that i think were ready...Either way were heading out to the lake bed tomorrow!

Jeep looks great and I wish I was still racing so don't take any of this wrong. But are you worried about glare off the hood into dust with the light bar there?

And was any more shock tuning done after the video your team put out?

Glare on the hood no due to my seat height...As for shocks, we added rear shocks had Doug with bilstein valve them after blowing them out pre-running and added longer bump stops.

Saw the DNF Matt, tough break man, but good job and good effort.

Thanks Tyler it was bitter sweet but we learned a lot and will be rebuilding it better and stronger for the dirt riot series.

they had some sweet video of you desert running from the chopper
