I've never seen a parts house rebuild box last more than a few months without ending up loose again.

IMVHO its worth every bit of money you spend to buy a box from a premium vendor like AGR, PSC or Lee Steering.

I tried a parts house box once, but the sector shaft fit the housing like a dick in a shirt sleeve. I don't think it lasted a week.

Yup.. been through three boxes now and the input shaft has play and vibrates at idle all over again... annoys the **** outta me sometimes but I'm over changing it again until I get a PSC or of the like...

Yes I kept hearing about shady rebuilds. So I went with the PSC big bore box and havent looked back.
yes its a lot of money, but safe steering gets the family home.
