I think posting in this section is a first for us :D

We've had this 00' XJ for around two years now, it's considerably tamer than Project Low Wagon so it didn't get near the attention. It's a clean rig though and includes the following bells & whitstles,

All T&T Armor and Suspension (of course )
High Pinion 44 Front, Crane Knuckles, 4.88's, ARB & CTM joints
Ford 8.8 Rear, 4.88's, ARB
Fox Shocks
35" MT/R's
TrailReady Beadlocks
PSC Assist (being installed)

(before Iceland flares and hood were painted)

Recently, the cam bearings started to go out so it was decided that the time was right to swap in a stroker . A donor block and 258 crank were shipped off to Drivetrain Unlimited in St. George, UT for machine work and initial assembly. Stewart at Drivetrain worked his magic in addition to porting & polishing the head and port matching the intake. Once the motor was back in our hands we installed equal length header, larger injectors and throttle body.

You hear lots of stories regarding stroker motors running hot or just plain overheating all together. After receiving some info from Pete Trasborg at JP magazine and his stoker project we called up Novak and ordered their big aluminum radiator and triple electric fan setup. Word has it, this puppy almost requires you to run cardboard in front of it just to get to operating temp's :greensmok
