Thats weird. Mine was doing the exact same thing so I asked a very knowledgeable guy from around here that owns a shop and he said to simply pull it out, spin it (clock) and put it back in.
Did that and it worked perfectly first try.

Got it! Word up.
I was failing at the who alignment thing. I went back to the first page and followed the link someone posted. After reading the entire page over again I realized my mistake. The number range is supposed to line up with the bottom fork of the C-shaped clamp. I was lining it up with the bolt.
