I understand I'm having the same problem but they are still made but they've changed the name twice I believe it's owned by Whipple's now and the newer one are slightly different

This controller from Split Second is for Chrysler products. It reads that it should work with your 96. I've got an 89 so to get mine to work I have a lot more work than you do.

Yeah that's for a Wrangler diffrent ecm in a 96 cherokee
The 96 wranglers had the jtec like 97-01 cherokee and thers the problem
