I moved to Georgia... again. Got divorced, I knew that was coming before I left SoCal though. I lost my LJ and WJ in that process. I re-bought my old 89/97 MJ and got it running good.

I met my new girl shortly after my divorce and swore off ever getting married again. A girl as good as her only comes around once in a lifetime. I proposed to her and we will be getting married August 29th.

Dragged The Bride and The Varmints out to Glacier National Park for some fun and adventure:

MacDonald Falls:

Mountain goats, note the smoke in the background. The fire was just warming up:

The fire meant that we could not go any further east. And then there was a one car accident on the road so we could not go west either. Spent a couple of hours trapped in the middle. Fine. The Varmints got to play on the highway:

Getting up to the sound of rain the next morning:

We were supposed to be on a boat at St. Mary's, but the fire put the kibosh on that. We went to Eagle Falls instead:

An attempt at fishing. Not even a nibble though:

And then the return home:

I don't think I can take too many more vacations like this one. :confused1

After 17 years of driving only XJs, I went to the dark side. I've been busy with that on several aspects and there's lots more to go.

I need to do a write-up on it or something called "How I spent $1500 on a budget boost suspension and fit 33s." I'll let you guys try and figure it out.

Took it down deep creek and dented the passenger rocker just after the waterfall.

Looks like a lot of fun.

I'm giving my ZJ away to my sister since she had a baby and has no vehicle.

So I'm out of the jeep game now. May be back someday but not looking like it.
I just bought a 2015 Tacoma double cab 4x4 TRD Off-road.

I'm gonna keep my eye out for local runs because I want to hit some trails now.

Sounds easy(although I'm sure it's not)
$100 on spacers, $400 on shocks, and the rest on the tires.

LOL! The rest on tires? TIRES?! Uh, no. I specifically said $1,500 on a budget boost SUSPENSION, and then fit 33s on said budget boost suspension.

The point is not only the cost, but most people put 31's on a 3" lift for ZJs just like XJs. 32's on 4.5, and 35's on 6" with a lot of cutting. I fit the 33s on a budget boost. If you want to put the cost of tires into the mix, it's closer to 3 grand. Keep guessing.

That's nice of you!

It is fun! Quite. Comfy. And Fast! I still have the XJ so I'm in the double Jeep game now. But my wife doesn't want me to keep both.

My friend just bought a 2015 Tacoma double cab TRD. It had like 100 miles on it when he took it out. Drove it off the lot with 12 miles. Already got it scratched at Corral Canyon a month ago. We've been out twice now together. He borrowed my jacks and already put a lift on it and basically the exact same tires I have on my ZJ only on a 17 instead of a 16. We're supposed to go out this Saturday to Banner…

Nice, I got the TRD off-road package so it has a real E-Locker already.

Post up on your next trip I would love to take it out. I want to avoid scratching it too much though, lol. I've got just over 200miles on it now.

What lift did he put on it?

Just saw you said maybe Banner on Sat. Is that in Julian? I've never been.

It is close to Julian. Rodriguez Canyon and Oriflame.

He says: Ome 887 springs, billstein 5200's front and back and progressive 3 leaf AAL

Took my XJ to work today cause it's a real XJ.

Speaking of black bear...just got back from a family camping trip to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. Second day of hiking about 3 miles from trail head we inadvertently surprised a black bear foraging about 15' away. First and only one we've seen up close. Didn't see any other "big game" wildlife the rest of the trip.
