last night i finally did the swap. I was tired of exploding bottles and constant overheating on the trail. Went with a 94 radiator and heater switch into my 87. New hoses as well. My only problem is that my temp guage continues to read zero or 100 whatever the the lowest the switch can get. I have got a 195 thermostat and i cant even get it to open up. Then engine feels cool even after a 10 to 15 minute drive. Is this normal?? I expected the swap to help out a bit but not quite this much. Maybe it is because i tested it at night??? It was about 60 degrees outside (cold for tucson). My other question is the switch i took out of the radiatior, is that the temp switch for my dash guage or a just a fan switch? The only other sensor i thought might be for the temp gage is a sensor on the intake manifold. All help would be appreciated.
Thanks
