Smoke from engine bay after exhaust manifold replacement

As the subject says, I’m getting smoke in the engine bay right after I start the engine after I replaced the manifold. Is this normal on a new manifold?

It could be "manufacturing residue" on the new manifold, or perhaps a light oil coating applied to prevent corrosion while it was on the shelf waiting to be bought.

Is the smoke coming from the vicinity of the manifold?

It is coming from that vicinity. I’m just scared that a fire will start. I’m pretty sure I buttoned up everything as I should.

It doesn’t start smoking immediately rather 30 seconds after starting. Safe to assume it’s not a gasket leak and just the residue

Have you checked to make sure that it is not steam from a leaking header bolt?
