Slip Yokes

To start with I have an 87' 2 door XJ with ZJ 4.5" coils, custom long arms and close to 5.5 inches of lift in the rear. I have a 1" T-Case drop and don't get too many vibrations. I would like to go with more lift and have a few questions about SYE's. If I don't plan to drive it on the road, is there any downside to having a steep angle and vibrations? Am I going to damage the T-Case if I run too high of an angle?

you are killing your t-case, the more use the faster you are killing it, so not driving on the road will slow down the process. the other thing is that once the angle gets high enough the yokes can bind against each other, which can break lots of stuff real fast. a YJ slip-yoke has better clearance to prevent binding.
