SHE'S GONE, BURNED!!!

I'd buy one of those rims. They look real close to what I have and I need a spare.

He called me a socialist because I suggested downloading music's actually considered stealing.
He also bragged he's a skilled craftsman, and unlike my occupation, no one can steal his product lol.

Lol, keep talking, you say everything about yourself so I don't need to too! Hehe, moron, they didn't steal my skill, they stole fuel and vandalized personal property. Do you know the difference?

isnt urban yan a polish canadian? "HIS SIDE" is not currently running the US. keep the red vs blue shit elsewhere, it has no relevance when one side doesnt even care about US politics.

i think his comparison is valid, they didnt MEAN to ignite the vans, much like pirates dont MEAN to hurt artists, its a result of stealing a little bit of tunes or fuel.... its all good, its from a big corporation with many trucks!!

the fact that you cant see the similarities in the situation proves YOUR intelligence, not his.

im not saying you deserved to lose your jeep, and that shit sucks. but karma is a bitch, and is out for us all! dont throw stones.

There's a big difference between using something without a license and destroying something to the point where nobody can use it.

I'm a supporter of intellectual property rights and believe they should be protected but... I don't see the parallel here. Mostly seems like an asshole thing to kick somebody when they're down too

Back on topic, I wouldn't consider re-using those tanks. Exposed to that kind of heat, the aluminum has lost any heat-treat and work hardening it had, and while kevlar, carbon, etc is heat resistant, the matrix it's imbedded in(epoxy, probably) is likely damaged. Those babies are throw away items now.

Sorry about the jeep. Hope you can score another one.

Difference is I still have a Jeep, and you don't.
It's better this way. For your next car I suggest you buy something that resembles the tow truck from "The Deliverance".

I feel bad for the Jeep. You... not so much.

I guess some folks fail to understand the concept of collateral damage, so I'll resort to something near and dear to tk's heart - gutter talk.

Might be time for some of you to change out your tampons, ya sound like a bunch of pre-menstrual teens. :moon:

Dang that sucks to see. But working at an insurance auto auction I see quite a few total burns. Any word on what the Adjuster valued the jeep at?

Not yet, waiting for the shock, any suggestions? I'm expecting a battle. Thanks everyone.

^This

I haven't seen a burnt out vehicle like that since I left Mississippi. I had a to argue a potential total with my adjuster: provide receipts, stick to your guns on what you want, but be reasonable about it.

Thats the funny thing, EVERY receipt I had was in the glove box! But the new rubber is pretty obvious, I'll keep you all posted. $2000 after the buy back!?!? That'd be great!

Hardly a month goes by when someone doesn't call/email us for a copy of a receipt. If you don't have the receipts start contacting your vendors. (Be honest with the adjuster, they have called to see if receipts are legit.)

On another note .... However, I wouldn't put anything past the ingenuity of NAXJA members!!

Well, I'm back baby!!! Just wanted to update the thread with jeep 2.0, back in black baby! Thanks for all the support on here, I can always count on NAXJA.

Plates are no longer valid, no worries there, she's a 98 sport. Not much right now but the main thing is she's rust free, which is huge up here, Krown rust sprayed yearly, the underside looks brand new, I'm very happy, thanks again. Almost worth getting raped by the insurance company, not quite.
