some of you may know my jeep is getting a "pimp my ride". Originally I got high pinion dana 44 and ford 9" out of a 75' ford f100. first i decided to run the stock ford radius arms whith heim at the end of them to a custom crossmember.well things have changed and reality kinda set in. since my jeep is daily driven for now, i wanted the street manners and still wanted to run the hammer trails on the weekends. So as of now the plans changed....i sold the ford 9" and got a waggy 44, a load of parts and narrowed my hp44 housing =)
i ordered the clayton long arm crossmember. At this point I'm thinking of fabing up a ylink passanger radius arm set up and a driver lower link with no upper.
My waggy 44 locked with 5.13's wheel spacers and 15x8 six lug steelies in the background.
Soooo....my narrowed to waggy width high pinion dana 44 housing. Just cut it today...was a bit challenging.
parts parts parts* consist of: 2 highsteer arms, dana 44 flat top knuckles, 6 7/8 ruff stuff heims/ 2 1.25" ruff stuff heims, nitro gear RS 5.13 gears with install and carrier, tube for my steering is 2"x.250 wall tubing, ruff stuff trac bar mount. not shown: big bearing chevy spindles and waggy 44 hub and assemblies.
gonna run these 35xd12.50r15 bfg's for now
I still need some bracketry, tubing and heims to start installing the front axle. the rear axle should be in this week.
Upgrades coming at the end of this year chromo front with ctm joints.
That's pretty much where i'm at with the project.
