Basically I gusseted from the side of the LCA bracket to the tube instead of relying solely on the mini-skids to keep the brackets from folding. With proper placement of the gussets you can still get a wrench on the LCA bolts, but the lateral stabilization is closer to where the force is applied to the LCA bracket (right by the bolt) instead of out by the edges.
All it costs to do it right is a beer box (to really enjoy the project, empty the beer box first) or cereal box, a good sharp utility knife and a sharpie, and an angle grinder.
