PDX: Local gear install experts?

I've got an item on the list of things to do: re-gear the Jeep. Going to be picking up a master rebuild kit, and do the whole thing right.

Now... I've done a 8.8" Ford, but the 8.25 seems a little trickier. Anyone in the PDX/Vanc area consider themselves an expert on this? Maybe looking for help or a referral on someone who is?

Thanks!

I've heard you can yank an axle nut from a xj d30 and get a 36mm. Never got around to it and ended up using a punch and a hammer to tighten the carrier bearings down.

Proper preload is 75ft pounds.
And a front axle nut does work but is better to weld some stoppers in the flat area so it doesn't fall all the way through the nut.
8.25 is a very easy axle to work on put the factory shim on the new pinion and test usually that is really close.
Then it's a crush sleeve to set preload and adjusters to set backlash.
It is a really simple axle to setup.
