Not even broken in

Thats cool, but the novelty of owning a 17 year old XJ with only 8000 miles on the clock isnt worth $7000 to me.
Still it is pretty cool.

On a side note, what year did they start using plastic brakes reservoirs? I though it was in 95.

You know, I think that thing has a D44 under it...

No it doesn't.

For one thing 91's didn't get it, period. In fact I'm still waiting to see a D44 in an 88 or 89 (rumor says they exist), I've only seen them in 87s.

For another look here:

That's not hte profile of a D44 in the back.

It has ABS, IIRC, ABS had the plastic "upgraded" reservoirs instead of the standard metal non-ABS master C.
But I'm not sure when ABS started on the XJ's.
Ok, that makes sense.

In 2004, I bought my 87 in that same condition, but with 27,700 miles on the clock.

I paid $700. That kids got one too many zeros going on.

And look at it now.

Oh come on, it just barely rolled 80,500 miles this month. Its still practically new.

Speaking of which, does anyone have a 23 spline aw4 sitting around? 91-95.
