so my 88 xj developed what sounds like a rod knock diagnosed it to a broken flexplate didnt realize how right i was was cracked to whole way around was about ready to implode so ordered new flexplate atp part #z205 installed it everything went smooth go to start it and wouldn't start checked crank sensor and it was broken off which i figured was from re installing trans never took sensor off installed new sensor and it started but runs like timing is terribly far off engine wont rev just backfires and dies checked resistance on cps checked out at 265 ohms factory sevice manual says 200 +/- 75 checked distributor which was untouched and timing was dead nuts so now im freaking baffled and i really dont want to uninstall damm thing.... read something about 2 different flexplate but that seemed to be 90+issue.. any clues guys???
