I ran my current NP231 with a leak for an entire year before I even bothered to check it, and then it poured clean fluid all over me when I pulled the fill plug to check it at nacfest.
I still don't know how to explain that. And it still has a leak.
Who popped their 4.0? I saw pictures of rod chunks and a ventilated block on facebook.

the guy we peer pressured to destroy his jeep.
appears that he bent his front left unirail pretty good, and then engine parts decided to fall out of the block.
then he tried the ledge one more time on 5 cylinders, and drove it back to the trailer.
