My on-board air hose reel!!

That is cool, I remember a company down in NJ that built a 50 something Ford F100 or 150 with a pretty big onboard air compressor that was belt driven and a 25 gallon air tank mounted alongside the frame under the bed. They just put air zerks front and rear and had a 50ft hose coiled up. They used the truck for roadside service.

Take out the passenger air bag and place it there. It would be closer to get to from the drivers seat.
its much better to keep it in your friends pocket

arent you worried about the compromise of strength from the unibody?

Yea, you should never pull hose though an XJ.
It has a unibody and will fold like a taco.

Nice job.
Little, attention to details, mods like this are the shiznit.

I don't want to turn this into a "folding XJ" thread but I really don’t think that cutting that hole so the hose can exit the fender is going to cause my jeep fold up. A lot of people just cut that area out and fold the quarter panel up anyways. Besides I have some nicely painted pot metal (roller fairlead) screwed into that area, I think that'll hold'er.
