Long Arms-To the crossmember or frame brackets??

Im about to start making my own long arms-yes Ive searched quite a bit and read arguments about attaching them to the crossmember or making brackets that attatch to the frame so you can drop the t-case without pulling the arms. Strength and ease, what would you suggest to make?

edit: also if I make the brackets, what in terms of steel (would 1/4 plate be sufficient) and design wise would you make em?

i would definitely say make them to the rails cause your axle is gonna want to shoot out without lowers (been there done that)

Or you could just block the tires like you should be doing already :dunno:
