On a side note...
D70 at 800 ISO? I'm guessing you use something to clean a little noise up? There is no way my D80 would get down to 800 ISO that clean. What do you use and what is the process to get rid of noise? I know it can be done I just have never figured out how.
Noise shows up mostly in the shadows, so I use a combination of contrast adjustment and 'burn' tool in photoshop. I used to do the same thing in the darkroom in high school
