Improving rear suspension ride quality

Also: 30 pounds in 32s is pretty high pressure for an XJ. I run 30x9.50s at 30 lbs and it's about right... try dropping to 28 or 26. Chalk line it to be sure - maybe BFGs need more air than my coopers - but 30 sounds high to me.

I've experimented with tire pressures some, and can confirm that lower pressures do improve the ride, but 30 is the best compromise I could find between ride/milage/wear.
 
don't forget the obvious, make sure your shackle bolts aren't too tight, you should be able to spin them with a wrench pretty easily
