IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER BROKE OFF

i got the steering wheel off but im finding it really hard to remove the lock plate the tool i bought doesnt have the most complete or understandable instructions

ok check this i got my new ignition lock cylinder on but now I CAN REMOVE MY KEY OR LOCK THE STEERING WHEEL!!!!!!

I don't understand. What do you mean by you "can" remove your key? You're supposed to be able to remove it.
