Ideas for a getaway weekend

Hey guys,
My Dad and I have gotten permission to do whatever this next weekend starting from Friday night - Sunday (5/14 -5/16). Any ideas of what will be open and not to crazy this time of year? We cant do any damage seeing that the Moab trip is the Friday after that, so keep that in mind.

I'd say hit the ram offroad park but you're up in Denver area. You can run penrose on your setup

Are there any good camping areas close to Penrose? I am really considering it, but I have never been in that area. what trails up there do you think we could do Solo?

Penrose is on BLM land so you can camp there.

I would not run it solo, or if you are worried about damage.

I say hit up rampart! If it is open. One of my favorite places to explore. Lots of fun stuff in that trail system!

Start the week-end off with a GREAT meal.
Make it to El Viva Villa Mexican Restaurant in Commerce City to eat.
(Quebec and E. 54th / 2 blocks north of the T/A Truck stop)
