I just got some new valve cover vents from team cherokee. I have a 92 xj limited. Which vent goes in front and which goes in the rear. One has a cap in the bottom with a tiny hole and one doesn't. Does it matter which one goes where?

thanks,
chris

Hallo. In the front, it is the bigger tube to support air to the crankcase from the filter box..
The one in the back is the CCV outlet with sometimes a valve or orifice.
This outlet tube is a small one.

thanks, i wasn't paying attention when i removed them. It makes sense that the elbow with the small orifice goes in the back with the small tube that goes to the intake and the elbow with the big orifice goes to the air cleaner. at first i thought one of the parts fell out of the old vent and fell into the engine, then noticed that the new ones were like that as well.

thanks again,
chris
