I made it. got the ujoint replaced on the front axle before the ball drop. loaded on the trailer and ready to roll in the am.
What was she there for? 
My wife and I just got home from Brown's. I ran some sections of archers, powerline, and all of ceder tree. Had a good time. hooked up with a stock JK rubicon, and a stockish yj renegade, both white. I was the black sheep literally. I think I saw quite a bit of muddytrck and his buddy in the toyota.

day ended short for us. I blew my yoke apart on the rear axle on the can-opener and to winch back down and threw the rocks at at the bottom. I used fwd back threw the powerline trail all the back to the trailer

It was brakes. Cold, (getting)dark and feeling like absolute death, I have the worst hangover ever and I didn't even drink last night, I decided not to put in new calipers in the Bi-Mart parking lot.
