Grand Cherokee Tcase swap

Ive got a 01 Grand limited with 4.7 and AWD I was to do a tcase swap in it so I can have selectable 4wd Ive heard you can use a NP242 out of a Grand cherokee but havent heard if it has to be a old body style or 99-94 style?

Anyone know?

go find yourself a part time case out of a similar year grand, and it will bolt right in.

Get the drive shaft and also the shift position dedicator placard from the same GC also.
