Mine came with Performance Friction.......less than impressed. I'm going to try different pads.

Try the Posi Quiets by Centric. They have a real good pedal feel when cold or hot..

With your jeep being a 2001 as listed in your profile you need to do nothing with the rod. The previous mention of drilling to 5/8" applies only to the Renix jeeps 87~90. You can do what FordGuy did and cut and weld the rod to get the desired pedal.

I found these to be horrible on Jeeps. I use the 105 series Centric pads (ceramic Posi Quite). Now all the ceramics I have tested where all horrible, bad unsafe killers. These are awesome. So don't grab any ceramic.

Even better is the EBC Green 7000 series (Suv extreme).
