Hmmmm...

I think the phase "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should" fits this thread perfectly.

If it really meant that much to me, I'd use it somewhere other than as a "domelight" in a vehicle (My grandpa was a master fabricator/wood worker/etc.)

When my grandpa died I got some random hand tools and a Comanche. It was purple and silver. Looked queer as shit. When the tranny took a shit and I realized just how rusted it was. I scrapped the turd. Do you see where I'm going with this?

Y'know, with some LED strips, a little polish & the headliner back in cleanly, that's gonna be pretty slick. I mean, the wood is going to make the rest of the XJ's interior look even cheaper, but I dig it.

here they are lit up



installed








now all i gotta do is wait fora warmer day to put it back in my xj
