In the morning I'll break out my floorjack, laptop and webcam to record moving pics showing the front end going up and the driveshaft angle not changing. I need to get some sleep first, so give me about 8-9 hours

Heres a good one...If I have 6 inches of lift in both the front and the rear, and your 300lb wife gets in the rear cargo area of my XJ and if the front wheels lift OFF the ground, does that change the front and the rear driveline angles?

NO. Because your wife will never get in MY XJ....
