collection of jeep stuff(build/blog)

Thanks all!
Gordo, we had to trim the lower rear portion of the bottom half. My lower quarter guard armor blocked it slightly. Trimmed about a 1/4". The top flat steel was a 4 1/2" x 5' section so we trimmed both sides with a slight angle. So it lined up nice. I'll take some close ups later today. Out on the open ocean hopin for some salmon at the moment.

i hope you catch lots of delicious salmon...that you don't want to eat.
i'll always have space in my refrigerator for the yummy pink fish!
you may even twist my arm into helping install frame stiffeners with a sizable bribe of ahi tuna steaks! :loveu:

I got you a delicious bass.

Haha I'll see what's in te freezer I know we handed out a TON of tuna last year.

Got some more salmon though!

Ordered single stage pair from napa just now. Prepped one side of the armor for a couple hours last night! Other side tonight ten a prime and paint.

Touched up the sides where the holes were and a tad bit where we welded

Both sides done. Ground the welds at the seams. Smooth out the edges, rounded some corners and lined up the sides. Wire brushed the tube welds. Sanded the surface rust and oil of with 80grit on a DA sander. Wiped down with laquer thinner. I got my single stage paint and hardener yesterday. Have some rust inhibitive epoxy primer for it already!

I could probably do next weekend. It would probably be better to do the bay area run after the Reno run. I'd hate for someone to break something important before Reno. How bout the first weekend of June?

I'm down let's get a thread goin soon!

Did my rear drums today.. I'd actually never done drums before and the first side took my about 45 min. The other I banged out in 15.
My god I can actually stop!! Huge difference surprising enough
And pretty darn simple
