Assuming your speaking of the bump-stops for the front suspension.
I haven't pulled them, but I had water in one and tried to pull it by hand and couldn't. But pulling it hard enough was able to open up a crack enough for the water to drain.
I'm guess if you put a straight edge screw-driver in between the rubber bump-stop and collar and levered it downward you'd probably be able to inch it out.
I have an '88. To get my bumpstops out I used a pipe wrench on the metal part just above the rubber. They unscrew. No need to pull the rubber apart. The only problem was getting the pipe wrench through the coil spring. I used a couple of "spring-lox", made by Superior, to seperate the coils enough to fit the wrench through.
