Stock is a pathetic 74 amps, I'm not looking for much, it's an 89 MJ so it doesn't require much, just going to do a few upgrades in the cooling, and stereo and want to make sure there won't be any starvation issues.
Are there any near direct swap/upgrades like the 5.9 alternator I swapped on my 96? I've looked at a wide range of GM truck alternators, but most have a slightly different front case. The closest I have found is for 88-93 GM trucks.

They look very similar, just clocked 1/3 counter clockwise. Swap pulleys and call it good?
If no near direct swap can be made, I can crack open a higher amp GM alternator that has a different fron half, and swap the MJ one over, but I would prefer to have an off the shelf alternator, to make replacement cut and dry.
