This morning 2000 Jeep Cherokee Limited with 145k had a funny acceleration problem. Kinda like a sputter but not a misfire. Seemed more like a bounce from the CPU. Almost like rev limiter but at low RPM.
Replaced TPS last summer.
Any ideas?

Thanks

test TPS. CPS. all the usual suspects. How are plugs/cap/rotors? Also, how are the o2 sensors?

Have you done anything to the vehicle lately?

My concern is a clogged CAT. I would do a vacuum check.

And a fuel pressure/volume test.

After that, pull the plugs and do a reading. While you have them out, do a compression test.

O2 sensors are new.
New muffler and cat seems fine.
I'll test TPS and CPS sensors first. Don't think it's a bad plug/wire...
Thanks for the direction guys.

Cheers

yeah im kind of in your boat with a P0304 misfire code, but check the resistance on your injectors, & pull all the plugs and check the gaps.

Also check fuel pressure regulator on the end of the fuel rail.

2000 XJ, pressure regulator is at the tank on top of the fuel pump module.

could be bad gasoline? Mine did the same after filling up at old 66 a few years ago. I ran some premium from my regular station and some gas additive and problem went away
