Didn't know where to post this, but I'd rather get input from people on naxja than another site... I don't need to hear about how hard, or not hard swapping a 97 XJ I6 into a 98 Wrangler that has a 4cyl is, its going to happen regardless.
Situation:
98 Wrangler 4cyl Manual with blown motor. The motor has been removed.
We are acquiring a I6 out of a 97 XJ with full harness and ECU.
I have a 23 spline shaft for the t-case already.
Not worried about drive shaft lengths at this time...
But I do have a couple questions.
I am assuming all I need to do is remove stock motor mounts and weld in new ones, correct?
I also need to replace transmission with something that will bolt to I6, but once that is done and I have the shaft in the t-case, the t-case should bolt right up correct?
I know this has been done so I'm hoping to hear from those that have done it, thanks!
