88 XJ Wagoneer Front Axle?

I recently bought an 88 wagoneer XJ & have almost finished with building it for my wife, whilst I was under it putting a new rear main seak in it, I noticed that the front D30 was a non-disconnect axle.

Is it possible that this is the original axle - I thought that all D30s were disconnect up to 90-91??? (rear is a D44 if that matters)

It is most likely the original front axle, because the wagoneers came with the "select trac" (full time) transfer case.

I am pretty sure this is a 231 TC though, my other XJ has the full-time 242 TC.
