1990 Cherokee 2dr 2wd-5.3L LSx Twin Turbo Build

Sorry for forgetting about the forum guys. I've done a lot to the Jeep since I posted last. If any of you visited theturboforums link that "Bent" posted, you saw that I sold the first setup and built another.

Anyways, got her going last Thursday. Got the tune close Friday and Saturday, and trailered her 4.5hrs away to the track Sunday. On 10psi, it went 11.96@114mph. It also went 116.5mph later in the day on a 12.0 pass. Never got better than a 2.03 60' time. When I get it launching under boost, it will probably be in the 11.40 @ 117 range.

I could only launch at 1750rpm, due to a shitty cheap torque converter. So I've got a PTC going in this weekend, and hoping to hit the track next weekend with a little more boost, with hopes of possibly dipping into the 10's before the race season is over for the year.

When I get home tonight I'm going to update all my forums with pics and stuff. For now, you get this :looney:

Ok I got a few pics for you guys. These should be the 8.8 swap/shock relocation, some recent engine bay pics, and some pics with the 30" slicks on it.

Interesting shock mounting.
Yea, not sure how you offroaders do it, but I assume it is the exact opposite as us straight-liners. lol

For a drag application, ideal shock mounting is as close to perpendicular to the rearend as possible, and as close to straight up and down as possible (10* is usually considered the perfect spot).

Awesome project!

Curious what your cooling fan set-up is on the radiator.

Its just dual 10" cheapo fans on a stock radiator. It cools fine at idle and cruising, but if i hot lap it at the track it will climb to 215-220, which is warmer than i want.

Its getting the whole front end cut off this winter and I'll put a normal sized aftermarket aluminum setup with a good single 16" fan.
