    2000 XJ Salvage

Well, Little Bluey just left the driveway. Sad to see her go out on a trailer after 10 years of fun ownership. The new owners plan on fixing it up and getting back in the dirt. Tried to find another clean XJ, but no luck. Ended up getting a pristine 2006 TJ-X. Last year of the 4.0 and so on...

    2000 XJ Salvage

Already been offered $1500, and pick up today. I don't believe you can ever take "salvage" off the title, once it has been declared. A lot of people are driving salvaged cars....flood damage etc.

    2000 XJ Salvage

Yes it is my Jeep. My son was driving it right after Christmas and a 16 year old young lady turned left, right in front of him. The transfer case is split in half, left shock and coil spring are gone. Driver side window is gone. The engine starts right up and the car is movable. Transmission...

    Winch one?

Great responses. What exectly do each of you like best about roller vs. hawse? Seems like like roller is less friction but IntrepidXJ wouldn't have it any other way. I just had the bumper and 1/4 panel destroyed while parked on the street, and the insurance co is going to pay me around $3000, so...

    Winch one?

I'm ready to pop for a new bumper/winch combo. "Available with either 80' of wire rope and hawse fairlead or 100' of wire rope and roller fairlead" Which is best and why? 6000, 8000 or 9000 rating? An XJ weighs in around 3500 lbs? Warn/ARB/Hanson whats you preference? TIA

    Hungry Valley

its about a mile past the 4-wheel training area in the center of the park, off the Couger trail in a box canyon called "the quarry". Not a bad place to get to, an ice covered creek nearby. Do you know about the southern entrance? Not well publicised, you take the Lake Piru exit, and you save...

    Hungry Valley

A stocker will do fine. Hungry Valley is a 20,000 acre OHV park up the 5 freeway. Its about 1/2 an hour past Magic Mountain. Agreat place to play for the day. It would be great if you could help out.

    Hungry Valley

I had to leave my beloved '00 XJ precariously hanging on an edge today. The place was desserted, not a single jeep or other suitable vehicle to be asked for assistance. The ranger gave me and my son (who was driving at the time) a lift to the Sizzler's at Gorman. Then the dreaded phone call to...
