Not sure if anyone knows of my site or still uses it, but the website www.go.jeep-xj.info or www.jeep-xj.info will be closing down next month. I have bought the domian http://willyshotrod.com for my current build but have made a sub domain for the XJ part in case it is still of use. It is...

Selling off all my that is left of my XJ Cherokee collection. Hope it goes well. https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/Toys-Hobbies/220/m.html… The Stompers are getting quite rare now and the rest featured even more so! The big XJ in the background is over a foot long to give you scale!

    Wider opening rear doors

Been a long time since posting an update on my XJ but thought I would write up a mod I did a couple of years ago on getting the rear doors to open wider so it is easier to get in and out etc. Before After. The cord was only used for the shot until a longer check strap was made. ;) Opens...

Rear brake line extension bracket made

Just threw up a quick write up on a rear brake line extension bracket to save you buying a longer hose. Sorry it is not up to my usual standard but was not going to do a write up originally. But then later on decided to snap a few pictures just in case it helped anyone...

    Changing CPS/CKS/CAS write up

I have just put up a quick write up about changing your CPS sensor in case some one is about to do it. Symptons is sudden cutting out of the engine for no apparent reason or engine turning over but not starting every time. http://www.go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoCPSchange.htm

    D35 driveshaft after a D44 swap?

Anyone ever heard of using a stock D35 driveshaft after swapping to a D44 rear axle? I know the pinion is 3/4" longer but wondered with lift and lowered bumpstops if it was then alright to use the stock D35 driveshaft? Cheers

13" brake conversion done in under a hour!

This has got to be the simplest upgrade out there. Went from 12" solid rear disc to 13" ventilated along with new calipers fitted under the hour including bleeding and getting the tools out and put away! :thup2: Fitted these lovely rotors and calipers off a Ford 4wd or 2wd Territory...

JK D30. How much is the same?

I am looking at buying a rolled diesel JK as soon as one comes up to strip for my Willys pickup but need the shorter axle width up front the same as a XJ/TJ. The JK WMS to WMS is 65.9" and the XJ is 60". Anyone know if the axle spine count is the same still on the JK? Hoping to use a XJ D30 (...

    New cooling passed the test

Most would know that I re-did my cooling setup about 9 months ago. I did it after some overheating trouble while pulling my offroad camper trailer in low range on long climbs in the bush. I already had twin electric fans with one stock 8 blade AC one and a 2500 cfm 16" electric. That had worked...

New engine/stroker install write up done.

Just did a write up on fitting a Titan stroker to a mates XJ and thought some of the hints might be of use that I cover. http://www.go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoEngineInstall1.htm Not meant to be a step by step but covers things that might speed a install along or any tricky bits. ;)

    New cooling idea

I had posted about my temp problems on another thread that some may have not read so thought I would start a new one here. I have had trouble getting a stable temperature since my radiator change. Thought must be the thermostat which was a Robert Shaw one so tested in on the stove with a...

Control arm drop bracket write up done

Probably covered well enough some where but have had these pictures on my install sitting there for a few years now waiting for this write up! You can tell by the amount of write ups of late that it has been too hot here to enjoy my spa that I normally have on a Saturday night instead! To cut...

    New spare mount idea??

Well I was trying to get to sleep and started thinking about where I have to mount a 235x70x17 ( 32" ) spare inside the vehicle some where. I thought of all the ideas that got thrown around on the famous thread they have now locked, for some reason, after 190 replies...

Custom yoke style SYE for the 242 or 231 done.

I have just put up a write up on a SYE install I did using the yoke off a Corvette on my 242. This allowed me to have the same drive shaft front and rear ( so long as you have a auto and a D44 or 8.25 axle ) and it is far more stable and completely leak proof, unlike the RE hack and tap flange...

Large Auto cooler without blocking the radiator fitted.

Some may have already seen the start of this modification when I fitted a Ford Taurus fan. This write up goes along with it to show how to fit a 20,000 GVW automatic transmission cooler without restricting air flow through the engine. Not only that, but prevents the now slower moving air being...
