It shows some dust and minor scuffs from being moved around the garage, but it's never been installed and I do have the directions and mounting hardware as well. The part with the cut-out is where your receiver comes through.
I purchased a gas tank skid plate from cherokee-nation.com who is no longer in business, but if I remember right, he was a forum member here. Actually if you go to this thread: http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=48718 and look at the picture of "rockwerks" post, it's the same skid...
Hi all, I am looking to buy or trade for some 99-01 factory OEM roof rack crossbars. My new kayak mounts don't work with my current factory crossbars. (I have a 97 XJ) If someone has a 99-01, I'll trade you roof rack crossbars and throw in some cash or if you've got some laying around and you...
Ok, well I think you're on the right track, but my 97 has the oval with rubber on top crossbars. I believe it's the 99 and up with the other handles and different shaped crossbar.
Hopefully someone with a 1999, 2000, or 2001 can tell me how sturdy these are. Mine just have too much play in...
The ends where you push a button to move the crossbars towards the front or back of the vehicle are definitely different. I am wondering if the actual crossbar is shaped differently... more aerodynamic like a squashed football shape, and if there is less back and forth flex in this style...
I recently purchased a couple kayaks and Yakima Aero Hull Raiser mounts. The Yakima mounts fit great on our Ford Escape, but when mounted on my 97 XJ factory rack crossbars, the crossbars wobble back and forth like crazy. I wanted to see if someone here can confirm that the 99 and up factory...
I thought you guys might have some good recommendations for me. I've got a basically stock XJ (other than skid plates and "slightly" larger BFGs) and my buddy has a pretty stock Warangler. I'm looking for somewhere to wheel somewhat close to Fresno. I've done Bald Mountain, been to Hollister...
I just had this exact problem described in the first post and it ended up being 4 loose bolts on the torque converter. My mechanic took them all out, coated them with Loctite and retorqued. Sound is gone, and worries are gone!
1998 Cherokee... the check engine light is supposed to come on when you put the key in the ignition and goes off after you start it. It doesn't come on at any time... and therefore automatically cannot pass California smog. The Jeep runs great. Any ideas?
1994 Cherokee... Go to start it and it starts just fine, but if you let go of the key, the starter stays engaged and obviously makes a screeching sound. The only way to drive the vehicle is to hold the key to the run or on position (right before it goes to start) the whole time you're driving...
I have Rocky Road Rockrails and they look EXACTLY like those. I don't know if they are exact.... may use a different thickness of metal, etc. but I have banged the crap out of mine... got out of the Jeep thinking I have major body damage and they have never bent or shown any signs of weakness.
I am not a NAXJA member so I'm not listing this in the for sale forum, but I own a Cherokee and visit this site quite often. The car lot I work at (in Fresno, CA) currently has TWO one owner Cherokees right now with clean Carfax reports and both just over 110k miles. We have a 98 Limited with...
I've hi-lifted mine on the front bumper on both the left and right sides where it's mounted to the rest of the vehicle and it holds if you're carefull.
This thing is driving me nuts. Worked fine until the battery was disconnected and for terminal cleaning. Now it turns over but won't start. Also, the gauges normally all kinda come on when the key is in. Now, the voltage gauge and the fuel gauge do not work. The only gauge that moves is the...
No there isn't one of those buttons and it always started before I undid the cables and put them back on. Could the fuel pump go out suddenly like this?
Re: 98 XJ Won't Start Electrical Problem? Fuel Prob???
Ok, I found that the previous owner had an Executive 2500 alarm system and when I unhooked the wires from the alarm brain the Jeep turns over but it still won't start. Maybe no fuel? I added 3 gallons of fuel... still nothing. I pressed...
