    Motor oil type/weight: Racers only.

ran that in my 96 Outback, had 328k on the clock and sent a sample to Blackstone? (the fluid testing place) and they showed no abnormal or excessive wear

Is something supposed to be in here?

Just don't go smashing into the back of one of those old subarus in WA, those guys are nuts! I should know I'm one of them!:laugh2: but seriously did ya fix it yet??

Is something supposed to be in here?

NO NO, fix. The issue in question are the BRAKES! wheel cylinders are stupid easy. and yes you will need to bleed them, but to save fustration you can pick up a set of "speed bleeders" which have a check valve in them and make bleeding easy. Please don't continue to drive with this issue, just...

    Odd question

do you think since i currently have a hair thickness of a gap that could be the problem? I just am kinda at a loss here, i've tried every combination to no success, what should the idle be at anyway? sorry if I'm going in circles or asking too many questions.

    Odd question

uhhhh, 4.86?? I know at 17% it was suppose to be .826 output voltage but it just didn't run quite right. My only guess is the throttle plate should be a TAD more open to allow more air, their are no vacumm leaks that i'm aware of and I've gone over everything over and over. which actually led...

    Odd question

on the tach, 0, space, dash, then I believe to more marks to 1k rpms

    Odd question

Cleaned off the idle control motor section of the throttle body and reset tps for .803 volts, drivability is perfect but still idles just above the first mark. guage indicates oil pressure is good tho. what do you guys think, let it roll?

    New Jeep***trolling attempt

Re: New Jeep I would recommend doing some research and catch up on some general knowledge on the vehicle. no sense in breaking things because you weren't aware of what was going on. and I'm not aware of a kia with 4wd. altho I don't pay mind to them, but I'm willing to bet it's more of an All...

    New Jeep***trolling attempt

Re: New Jeep That is the selector for 4 wheel drive, it's what engages the front wheels

    Odd question

well didnt get a chance to mess with it yesterday but did replace the oil pressure sending unit so i know i have good oil pressure at whatever rpm it decides to idle at.

    Odd question

oh boy, more parts lol. I'd imagine the proper pipe is a junkyard part? I try to avoid hitting the local yard as they are an insane rip off.

    Odd question

I'll have to pick a tach up. I was going to spray some throttle body cleaner through the tube to ensure it was clear, where do I find this gromet? I can find a few with the proper O.D. but the I.D. is always way too big. I'm awfully damn close on this thing tho.
  18. R

    Odd question

actually the gromet is rather worn out and happened to be off when i first started it and when i put it back on the idle dropped a little and smoothed out.

    Odd question

using the 17% adjustment, .82 volts puts it right on the money, EcoMike's post just confirms that general range.
  20. R

    Odd question

alright, double checked the tps and it was at .799 volts, now I also looked back on a post by EcoMike and it said .80-.82 is prime, set it too .813 (i'm getting a little tired of doing this again and again, close enough) and it now starts and runs fine, drives well too. only concern is the idle...
