Both unit bearings are in great shape, cast rotors, they both rolled well, and dont seem to be close to kicking it. i beleive one is a timken unit, and that one feels like it did when it came out of the box. neither of them have been beat on, since i always put antiseize all over before...

So here it is. my reasoning for doing this instead of just a building a full dana 44 is simple: funding. I am sure there are going to be many naysayers who tell me i wasted my time, and i should have put it all in a 44 but... i acquired a 79 HP HD D44 with all new uninstalled bearings/seals...
I have JCR one ton steering upgrade for sale: all joints are less than 3 months old, so they are all tight. i will also include HDPE spacers

so at 260XXX miles on the clock i decided to to test the compression... here are the results

ok gents i'm polishing the turd. before some say its dumb and weak, i already know that. basically what it comes down to is budget, and i have the material already so essentially all this will cost me is time. plus, i am only running 33's, so a strengthened 30 should work out ok.

so i picked up a new steering box from autozone because my last one had about 2 inches of play in the steering wheel only to find out that the new one had the same amount of play in it.... now before you go off telling me its the trackbar bushings, ball joints, or tierod ends, you should know...

alright NAXJA populous here's the deal:
i have been trying to perfect my steering for a while now (who isnt around here) and keep running into issues of tie rod roll and bumpsteer. the first setup i had was the JCR setup, which i ran UTK giving me a pretty nice dead spot due to tie rod roll...
does anyone see a problem with adding another drain hole to the transmission pan that is a little farther forward? i have a TNT long arm setup, and the blasted OEM one is right in the middle of the belly skid... this makes swapping out the trans fluid a real PITA.
