I have it BAD. This is on an my XJ buggy. I thought it may have been related to my bumpsteer issue I was having with my draglink/trackbar angles being off (D60 w/highsteer arms. Draglink runs off of the tie rod [in the factory Ford hole])....but I have that corrected now. Draglink and Trackbar...
Did a bunch of work to the buggy recently (D60 front/10.25 rear) and had to lift it about another 4 inches to make room for the 39.5 Iroks....I was a little concerned that it would goof up my rear geometry a bit. But it looks like things should be pretty good, still. Got measurements last night...
I know this may not sound like Advanced Tech, but it's for my buggy so I figured I would try here first. I'm looking for some longer front braided hoses. Where are you guys sourcing yours....and what length are you using?? My current ones are about 16" and they're no where near long enough...
Anyone checked out the JeepSpeed article in the Jan '07 JPMagazine? (p.56) They are following the build of a rig for Temper Mental Racing. http://www.temper-mentalracing.net/ It's the white XJ on their site.
They used 1/8" plate to reinforce the front section of the uniframe of this XJ...
Hey guys, I'm having some real issues with my upper trackbar mount. Busted the lower (stock D30) earlier in the summer, and after rebuilding that, I'm having prob's with the upper. I somehow managed to break the factory mount in half. I'm running an adjustable bar with a 3/4 heim on the upper...

Trying to Band-Aid my D30 until I get the time to swap front axles (to a 44). I was thinking of putting CJ outer knuckles on the thing to eliminate the unit-style bearings. Does anyone know if this is a viable option (ie swap w/combos of stock parts)? I figure I can use the stock XJ inner...
Hey guys, finally got my tentative numbers plugged into the calculator. The AS seemed a little low at first so I bumped my Axle-side upper mount about an inch higher than what I had planned....and here are the results. What do you all think? Acceptable starting point?

As some of you may know, I had a friend that was kind enough to destroy my XJ for me.....so now I'm looking at saving the firewall [forward] and floorpan....hoping to create some kind of buggy. The main structure will be tubed, similar to FarmerMatt's. My question is, what is your opinion on...
Friend comes into work today to tell that the XJ that we thought had ball joint problems actually has a flex in the outer "C" of the axle. It's a disco D30 on an 86 XJ with 4.5" lift, 15x10 wheels(3.75 b/s). Anyone ever seen this? The vehicle belongs to a mutal friend of ours, and the guy...
Did a search to no real avail. I'm in comparison mode now. I have pretty much found the info I need on other brands, so....
Has anyone tried the Teraflex add on Long Arms? Pro's and Con's of design? I personally think the tube diameter looks a bit small, but I was curious if anyone has tried...
Finally bought a 3.4L V6 to replace the 2.8 in my XJ....should really liven it up. My question is in relationship to the carb/intake setup. I will probably run an Edelbrock two-piece manifold...but has anyone used a 4160 Holley (pn 0-8007, 390cfm-4bbl) in an off-road application? I know EFI...
