    Opinions on VW diesels...Jetta Wagons

I bought a Jetta this spring. 50MPG. Oil changes are a little challenging at 6'2" 245lbs. but it only needs one every 10,000 miles. The special oil (dealer only item) required does cost but at 10,000 miles verses 3K that cost is easier to swallow. I know that parts are not cheap but I also own a...

Who's driving and who's towing their XJ?

I'll be towing. I've had the XJ break and have always managed to get it home, but trailers just add to the likelyhood that it gets home. Besides, I'll tow my Jeep home and my wife can drive the raffle XJ that I'm going to win. :D

    What day are you arriving?

I hope to be there late Sunday 10/5.

    SAFETY REQUIREMENTS (Must Read)

The reason I asked was that some clubs do require a full size spare, 33" in my case. My spare is not full size (30") but I'm sure it would let me get out of the way if needed. I myself am a "stuff the hole with as many plugs as it takes, then sew it shut" kind of guy. It only has to get you...

    SAFETY REQUIREMENTS (Must Read)

Clear as glass except, what is adequate in the eyes of the spare tire inspector? This leaves room for speculation.

    Very important!!!! Everyone read!!!!

I know that making a decision like this is hard for anyone to make. Being that many folks have planned on this trip for a long time. (Myself included) Mother Nature cannot be controled. So if you feel the need to cancel this event I support you, and if you say its a go, I will be there. Toss a...
