    96 Classic $3600

The jeeps been sold. Thanks for the responses on the board and privately. I'll extol the values of NAXJA and hopefully the new owner will become a member; I know he lives near Paragon so you'll likely see it over there. Commando, it didn't always look like that; had to make it shiney for the...

    Help with doors please

river fever - the buttons can be pushed in, but the doors will not open, this also occurs when you try the interior levers. katarn - first it was the electric door locks. I know that this is a common problem in cherokees, I forget the guy who did the wrtieup on the fix. I have a '96 and...

    Help with doors please

Well it has been a long time since my last post so I hope everyone is well. Since we bought the house I've been too busy working on that to enjoy the pleasures of the jeep, with the exception of going to the lumber yard :gonnablow It seems that my two back doors no longer like to function and...

    performance ignitions

unless you have a stroker, turbo or nitrous I believe everyone will agree it is a waste of money. Buy some good wires(Magnecor), a brass cap and rotor and keep your spark plugs fresh (don't fall for the hype of multiple electrodes/u-grooves).

    header bliss

I imagine a large portion of the difference your feeling is probably because you no longer have a cracked manifold.

    Just Starting Out...

I have to agree with badcop here. have you attempted to wheel your stock XJ? I think that you will find that it is very capable. Instead of jumping in with a lift why not purchase some skids, rockrails, more aggressive(235/75/15) then go from there. It's not as sexy, but then again you'll end up...

    Just Starting Out...

Welcome to the beginning of an empty bank account. RE will let you swap parts out of their lifts for credit and such. Because this is your DD and you didn't mention what type of offroad situation you will be in I would suggest going with drop brackets for your control arms and going with...

Old Man Emu Kit plus 2" blocks or 4.5 RE kit

I agree with everyone here. I have OME coils and full packs sitting on 1.5" extended shackles and ACOS with OME LT shocks. It rides ok, but I had to tinker A LOT to get things working together. I say order yourself the RE 3.5 kit and add OME shocks you'll have components engineered to work...

    Good North Central Mass mechanic?

I echo Grizzley. I've recently dealt with Lou though it was for a mechanical issue and he and the rest of the guys there are great to deal with and do the best work I've had done.

Biggest tire with no lift but trimming and back space

    1) Go to a local shop and buy some used tires until you can afford to pull together the set up you want. 2) Buy some cheap new tires and use them until you pull together the set up you want then sell them. 3) Get retreads and use them until you pull together the set up you want then sell them...
