It's got a 3 1/2 inch lift 30 inch BFG ATs Bumper NO gears... feels like stock gearing when it's in 4 LO. But I still get out alot. I think I've seen your rig around. Give me a holler if you wanna wheel

Howdy. I'm in Arcata so if you want to hit the beach or whatever, let me know. The Samoa dunes is fun every once and a while. Just rinse the rig down after wards... sand and salt sucks. here are some local trails that are easy, but maybe scenic...

    Anyone remember?

More info: Went to drive my old rig, now my sisters, and it felt like shit. Took a look at the wheel hubs and they were beyond shot. My guess is that within a few hundred miles more, the front R tire would have wobbled off. SO... I was lookin for that post I mentioned earlier. Still no luck

I searched for quite some time, but could not find the thread I was lookin for. I want to find the picture of the guys XJ that had a tire fall of on the freeway. It was due to bad reassembly after removing an axle shaft (if I recall correctly). Any links or direction would be great. thanks

Please share photos of your cargo area.

It's about time for me to update everyone with photos with my NEW cargo area. I'll get pics up soon, but just a warning, I got a little Suzuki Samurai... NO room at all. I miss my XJ... alot and I like that platform Stump. Looks real stout and sturdy. That definitley increases the utility of...

Its a good bumper, decently priced. Only problem I had was the latching mechanism. It's a 5 dollar part, but I just used a bungee.

It's a C4x4 rear bumper and tire carrier. You can add jerry cans, a CB, and a HiLift to it also. It's herculined too. http://www.custom4x4fabrication.com/rear_xj.html

Dual sports are nice, but I need to haul tools, lunch and gear to and from work, 5 days a week. Also, as a poor college student, I can't afford 2 vehicles. I'm looking into a Sidekick in CL right now. The Sidekick will also get me to and from he mountains alot cheaper. I'm sure Waggy401...

I gotta get something that gets better MPGs. I was driving about 10-15MPH less than the posted speed to try and push the mileage I was getting in my rig, still only getting around 18 freeway, which is pretty good for having 33's. I'll be driving 60 miles to work, and need a 30MPG vehicle. I...

    Junk in the Trunk

You shed any pounds today? I have cleaned up a bit too, I'm carrying a more select amount of the tools, and have ditched the crates (they are usually kept in the garage anyway). Also, I leave the HiLift at home when driving around town, but if I intend to go offroad or to a recovery, I bring...
