I have a 91 that I tapped a wire into on the radiator fan control relay and have control of it at will. You could hard wire it to stay on always if you wanted it to.
Great vids. Looks like great times too. Have considered going to this race but always forget about it until I hear it has been run for the year. Congrats on doing it.
Thanks so much for the 231. That thing looked brand new inside. It got a 1.25" chain, 2lo conversion and an AA SYE. It should rock when I get it under the XJ.
If you can find a member, Club 33 in Disneyland. Great fun wondering the parks and a five star dinner. Tough to get in, I don't have my hook up anymore.:tear:
Looking for the stock mesh type wheels like my 91 Briarwood. Aced two of them on some rocks a couple of weeks ago. Let me know how many you have and how much. Thanks.
Cool little trick. Join AAA. Along with some free towing and a discount at NAPA they do DMV paper work like this all the time. I have regged three vehicles there and it was quicker, easier and more enjoyable. That is my advice. Well worth the $70 or so for the basic membership. Just used...
You need the adaptor because you have seperate brake and blinker lights. The trailer has common brake and blinker elements. Tail lights are straight through. Brake combines with blink, when you brake both high elements(L&R) illuminate. If you turn on the blinkers they seperate, one stays on...
Basically yes just screws and clips. BUt there is a secquence. Gauge bezel first. Lower dash, gauges, HVAC, glove box then sub dash plastic frame. Not a easy or quick job figure about 3 hours out and twice that going in until you get the hang of it. Good luck.
I hate double 45 flares. But I have done enough of them that I think I can chime in on some advise. A quality flaring tool is key. I have several from NAPA, Summit and Snap-On. I feel confident with anyone of these tools. First and most important is to make sure your tubing is cut SQUARE...
I tried to wade my way thourgh all the posts but got lost along the way. What I want to know is what time is this thing over? And how far from San Diego is this run? Never been on a night run so this could be fun.
Video rocks Julio. Nice camera work by Ben. I never relaized what that looked like out side the briarwood. It never feels that bad inside. Gotta do that again.
Hey guys. Need a tutorial on how to resize photos to post. I have quite a few of all the fun stuff we did. When I figure it out I will post up what I think is the best. I can make DVDs for those that want one. Real good time. Setting up another run this weekend in SD.
Just to throw it out there, if you are on Pendelton then you may have access to a automotive hobby shop on base. In the miiltary there is always someone that welds and pretty damn well too. Check it out. As for the gears I have all my regearing work(Scout, Toyota, Jeep) done by Mark and his...
It is late to post this up but three of us are wheeling up Cleghorn this saturday. Meet at the 15/Cleghorn intersection at 9am. Look for a blue Briarwood, a red XJ on 33" and a stock green XJ. We don't know the trail so it is a adventure for us. Jump in if you want. Cal me for details...
